About Us
Nathan and Rochelle Lygon brought Yandama On Country to life together with the aim of Nathan sharing his culture with people and Rochelle organising the business operations. Yandama On Country offers Indigenous cultural experiences where we connect, share, and learn On Country together.
Yandama means to "walk now" in the local Thaua and Djirranganj languages. Yandama On Country means "walking on country".
A passion for traveling, culture and good food has taken Nathan and Rochelle around Australia and overseas together, where they have participated in many tourism experiences. These adventures have helped inspire Nathan and Rochelle to create and deliver meaningful cultural experiences for their guests.

Nathan Lygon, lead guide and co-owner of Yandama On Country, was awarded Silver Top Tour Guide NSW 2025, recognising him as one of the state’s leading tourism guides.
Yandama On Country was also named a finalist for Outstanding Visitor Experience – Tourism at the 2024 Bega Valley Business Awards, celebrating the business’s commitment to sharing authentic, meaningful cultural experiences on the Sapphire Coast.
